Linolenic acid and alpha-linolenic acid are the two essential fatty acids (EFAs), which make up 75% of Hemp Oil. As the name implies; they are essential to human health, and must be obtained through the daily diet. Medical studies have shown that consumption of these highly unsaturated fatty acids can have beneficial effects on several chronic and degenerative conditions.
Hemp Oil also contains over 4% GLA (omega-6) and almost 2% SDA (omega-3), which are both rare and biochemically valuable fatty acids. Both GLA and SDA are natural biological metabolites of the two EFAs.
